Amend HB 310 as follows:
      (1)  In SECTION 5 of the bill, strike the introductory
language to the SECTION (Senate committee printing, page 1, line 64
and page 2, lines 1 and 2), and substitute the following:
      SECTION 5.  Section 164.005, Natural Resources Code, is
amended by amending Subsections (c) and (e) and adding Subsections
(f), (g), and (h) to read as follows:
      (2)  In SECTION 5 of the bill, strike the amendment to
Subsection (b), Section 164.005, Natural Resources Code (Senate
committee printing, page 2, lines 3-9).
      (3)  In SECTION 5 of the bill, in added Section 164.005(f),
Natural Resources Code (Senate committee printing, page 2, line
31), strike "to build" and substitute "for".
      (4)  In SECTION 5 of the bill, in amended Section 164.005,
Natural Resources Code (Senate committee printing, page 2, between
lines 31 and 32), insert the following new subsections:
      (g)  In administering any of the board's financial assistance
programs relating to veterans cemeteries, the board, or the board
in conjunction with other state or federal agencies, may plan and
design, operate, maintain, enlarge, or improve veterans cemeteries.
      (h)  Of the funds available in the veterans' land fund, the
veterans' housing assistance fund, and the veterans' housing
assistance fund II that may be used for veterans cemeteries, the
board may spend not more than $7 million each fiscal year to plan
and design, operate, maintain, enlarge, or improve veterans
cemeteries.  The board may not use funds from the veterans' land
fund, the veterans' housing assistance fund, or the veterans'
housing assistance fund II to acquire land to be used for a
veterans cemetery.
