Amend HB 978 in SECTION 1 of the bill, Section 51.014, Civil
Practice and Remedies Code, as follows:
      1)  In line 13, page 1, committee printing, between "(b)" and
"interlocutory", strike "An" and insert "Except as provided by
Subsection (c), an";
      2)  After line 16, page 1, committee printing, insert a new
subsection (c) to read as follows and renumber remaining subsection
appropriately:
      (c)  An interlocutory appeal under Subsection (a)(3) stays
all proceedings in the trial court pending resolution of the
appeal.
