Amend HB 1047 as follows:
      (1) On page 1, between lines 15 and 16, insert the following:
      SECTION 2. Section 127.008, Civil Practice and Remedies Code,
as added by this Act, does not apply to a contract executed before
January 1, 2001.
      (2) On page 1, line 16, strike "SECTION 2." and substitute
"SECTION 3.".
