Amend CSHB 1362 as follows:
      (1)  On page 14, between lines 5 and 6, insert the following
appropriately numbered sections to read as follows:
      SECTION __.  Section 42.09, Penal Code, is amended by adding
Subsection (f) to read as follows:
      (f)  It is a defense to prosecution for an offense under this
section that the person had a reasonable fear of bodily injury to
the person or to another by a dangerous wild animal as defined by
Section 822.101, Health and Safety Code.
      SECTION __.  Section 42.01, Penal Code, is amended by adding
Subsection (e) to read as follows:
      (e)  It is a defense to prosecution for an offense under
Subsection (a)(9) or (11) that the person who discharged the
firearm had a reasonable fear of bodily injury to the person or to
another by a dangerous wild animal as defined by Section 822.101,
Health and Safety Code.
      (2)  Renumber the sections of the bill appropriately.
