Amend CSSB 1 in Article XI by adding the following
appropriately numbered rider on page XI-___ in the Department of
Transportation section:                __. Contingency
Appropriation for SB 1329.  Contingent on the enactment of SB 1329
or similar legislation relating to the verification of financial
responsibility required for the registration and operation of a
motor vehicle, the Department of Transportation is appropriated for
the biennium beginning September 1, 2001 all revenue collected as
motor vehicle registration reinstatement fees under SB 1329, and
the number of Full Time Equivalent Positions listed above is
increased by 10 in 2002 and 10 in 2003.  The Department of
Transportation is authorized to transfer the appropriation made
under this provision to the appropriate strategy items listed
above.
