      Amend CSSB 1, on page III-20 of the bill, in Article III, by
adding "The Permanent School Fund may only be used for text books
and per pupil distribution."to the following appropriately numbered
rider under the appropriations for the Texas Education Agency:
      __.  Permanent School Fund. In its annual report on the
Permanent School Fund, completely by February 28 of each year, the
Texas Education Agency shall report on the actual and projected
costs of administering the Permanent School Fund for the year
covered by the report and the following three years.
