      Amend CSSB 1 as follows:
      (1)  Under the Article XI appropriation to the Department of
Health (page XI-11), add the following appropriately numbered
rider:
      CONTINGENT APPROPRIATION: PRESCRIPTION DRUG COVERAGE.
Contingent on the enactment of HB 734 or similar legislation of the
77th Legislature relating to prescription drug coverage under the
state Medicaid program and in addition to other amounts
appropriated by this Act, the sum of $16,051,008 is hereby
appropriated out of the General Revenue Fund to the Department of
Health for the fiscal year ending August 31, 2002, for the purpose
of providing prescription drug coverage under the state Medicaid
program, and the additional sum of $16,200,253 is hereby
appropriated out of the General Revenue Fund to the Department of
Health for the fiscal year ending August 31, 2003.
      (2)  Adjust the article totals (page XI-11) accordingly.
