      Amend CSSB 1 in Article XI by adding the following
appropriately numbered rider on page XI-37 after the appropriations
to the Higher Education Coordinating Board:

      Texas Fund for Geography Education. Contingent upon the
enactment of HB 3590, or similar legislation related to the
National Geographic Society Texas Fund for Geography Education, the
Higher Education Coordinating Board is appropriated $500,000 in
fiscal year 2002 from the general revenue fund to implement the
provisions of the Act.
