      Amend CSSB 1 in Article XI, immediately following the
recommended items of appropriation for The University of Texas
Medical Branch at Galveston, by inserting the following
appropriately numbered rider:
      __.  The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston may
spend an amount not to exceed $3,000,000 from any revenue
appropriated to the institution by this Act or from other available
funds for the support and development of student and resident
training programs, including the payment of compensation, travel
costs, costs for leased premises, and other operating expenses.
