Amend the Allen amendment on page 113 of the floor packet by
substituting the following:
      Amend CSSB 1 by adding the following rider to Article XI
following the bill pattern for the Department of Public Safety.
      Contingency Appropriation for HB 353. Contingent upon the
enactment of HB 353 or similar legislation relating to providing
public access to information about fugitives of justice, the
Department of Public Safety is hereby appropriated $85,000 for
fiscal year 2002 out of the General Revenue Fund for the purposes
of implementing this Act.  The Department of Public Safety is
hereby authorized to transfer the appropriation made pursuant to
this provision to the appropriate strategy items listed above.
Funds appropriated by this provision may be expended for capital
budget purposes notwithstanding limitations on capital budget
expenditures elsewhere in this Act. Also contingent on the
enactment of HB 353, or similar legislation, the "Number of
Full-time Equivalent Positions (FTE)" figure indicated above is
hereby increased by 3 for fiscal year 2002 and 3 for fiscal year
2003.
