      Amend CSSB 1 by adding the following rider to Article XI
following the bill pattern for the Department of Public Safety.
      Contingency Appropriation for HB 2113.  Contingent upon the
enactment of HB 2113 or similar legislation relating to the
administration and applicability of the sex offender registration
program, the Department of Public Safety is hereby appropriated
$422,200 for fiscal year 2002 and $61,590 for fiscal year 2003 out
of the General Revenue Fund for the purposes of implementing this
Act.  The Department of Public Safety is hereby authorized to
transfer the appropriation made pursuant to this provision to the
appropriate strategy items listed above.  Also contingent on the
enactment of HB 2113, or similar legislation, the "Number of
Full-time Equivalent Positions (FTE)" figure indicated above is
hereby increased by 2 for fiscal year 2002 and 0.5 for fiscal year
2003.
