Amend SB 1 on third reading, in Article III of the bill, by
adding the following appropriately numbered rider following the
appropriation to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board:
      __.  INTERIM STUDY REGARDING ESTABLISHMENT OF SCHOOL OF
PHARMACY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH TEXAS. It is the intent of the
legislature that the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board,
pursuant to its authority under Section 61.051, Education Code, use
an appropriate portion of the funds appropriated to the
coordinating board by this Act to conduct a study to evaluate the
feasibility of establishing a school of pharmacy at the University
of North Texas.  It is the intent of the legislature that the
coordinating board complete the study and report the results of the
study to the legislature not later than August 31, 2003.
