Amend CSSB 311 in SECTION 1.29 of the bill after Subsection
(b) (House Committee Printing, page 30, between lines 17 and 18),
by inserting the following:
      (c)  The executive director of the General Services
Commission serving on the effective date of this Act becomes an
employee of the Texas Procurement Commission as provided by
Subsection (a)(3) of this section, but that person does not
automatically become the executive director of the Texas
Procurement Commission. To become the executive director of the
Texas Procurement Commission, that person must apply for the
position and the employment in that capacity must be approved by
the Texas Procurement Commission.
