Amend SB 311 on 3rd Reading, in SECTION 5.01 of the bill, (as
amended on 2nd reading by the Davis amendment No. 9) in Subchapter
A, in Chapter 2262, Government Code, by adding Section 2262.002 to
Chapter 2262 to read as follows:
      Sec. 2262.002. EXEMPTIONS. Any provision of this chapter
regarding the solicitation of contracts does not apply to the Texas
Department of Transportation.
