Amend CSSB 1109 as follows:
      (1)  In SECTION 1 of the bill, proposed Section 342.502,
Transportation Code (Committee printing page 1, lines 27-29),
strike "the greater of $50 or the amount equal to the fee for the
current registration year for registration under Subchapter D,
Chapter 502" and substitute
":
            (1)  $50, if the vehicle is a commercial motor vehicle,
as defined by Section 502.001; or
            (2)  $30, if the vehicle is any other type of motor
vehicle".
      (2)  In SECTION 1 of the bill, proposed Section 342.502,
Transportation Code (Committee printing page 1, lines 30-37),
strike Subsection (b) and substitute the following:
      (b)  The department shall deposit fees collected under
Subsection (a) to the credit of the state highway fund.
