Amend CSSB 1444 as follows:
      1. On page 24, after line 23, add a new SECTION 36 to read as
follows:
      SECTION 36. Notwithstanding Section 26.028(c), Water Code, a
public hearing on an application by a district for a commission
permit under Section 26.027, Water Code, for effluent composed of
disinfected sewage or municipal waste proposing secondary or
greater treatment and no discharge of pollutants into any water in
the state shall be in the same manner as provided by Section
382.0561, Health and Safety Code.
      2. Renumber the subsequent SECTIONS appropriately.
