DIGEST AND PURPOSE 

Current law prohibits a district judge of the 394th Judicial District from
serving as a visiting judge in certain urban counties.  H.B. 78 repeals
that prohibition. 

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a
state officer, institution, or agency. 

SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS

SECTION 1.  Repealer:  Section 24.539(c), Government Code.

SECTION 2.  Effective date: September 1, 2001.
