H.B. 715 expands the jurisdiction of the 404th Judicial District to include Willacy County. RULEMAKING AUTHORITY This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency. SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS SECTION 1. Amends Section 24.549, Government Code, as follows: Sec. 24.549. New heading: 404TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT (CAMERON AND WILLACY COUNTIES). Provides that the 404th Judicial District is composed of Cameron and Willacy counties. SECTION 2. Effective date: September 1, 2001.
