RULEMAKING AUTHORITY This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency. SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS SECTION 1. Amends Section 161.101, Agriculture Code, to require a veterinarian to report the existence of certain diseases among certain livestock or fowl to the Texas Animal Health Commission within 24 hours after diagnosis of the disease. Makes conforming changes. SECTION 2. Effective date: upon passage or September 1, 2001.
