SRC-TBR H.B. 2810 77(R) BILL ANALYSIS Senate Research Center H.B. 2810 By: Wolens (Cain) Administration 5/4/2001 Engrossed DIGEST AND PURPOSE The purpose of H.B. 2810 is to take into account the new census data contained in the 2000 federal census and to update population brackets as necessary so that the statutes using those brackets continue to apply to the political subdivisions for which the brackets were intended. RULEMAKING AUTHORITY This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.
