DIGEST AND PURPOSE

Under current law, a county employee is able to transfer accrued sick leave
or vacation time to a county sick leave pool to help an employee who
suffers a catastrophic injury or illness. An employee is prohibited from
using an amount of time that is more than one-third of the total time in
the pool, or 90 days. H.B. 2874 increases from 90 to 180 days the total
amount of time an employee may draw from the pool.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a
state officer, institution, or agency.
