DIGEST AND PURPOSE

Some citizens who have made important contributions to the State of Texas

landmarks. Charles K. Devall owned several Northeast Texas newspapers,
including the Kilgore News Herald, which he published from 1940 to 1979.
He also served as the president of the North & East Texas Press Association
in 1937. Mr. Devall took part in the 33 year roadway improvement project
