RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a
state officer, institution, or agency.

SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS

SECTION 1. Amends Section 254.036(g), Election Code, to authorize a person
required to file a report with the Texas Ethics Commission in connection
with the office of district attorney rather than the office of district
judge, or judge of a multicounty statutory county court, to file reports
that comply with Subsection (a).

SECTION 2. Effective date: September 1, 2001.
