DIGEST AND PURPOSE
Crime victims, including victims of domestic violence, may be reimbursed
for moving expenses through the Crime Victims' Compensation Fund. As
proposed, S.B. 169 revises the Crime Victims' Compensation Fund to allow
for reimbursement of moving costs for sexual assault victims who otherwise
would remain in their current living situation. Victims must comply with
the same requirements as other crime victims to be entitled to
reimbursement. S.B. 169 includes victims of sexual assault in the
category of crime victims who may be entitled to reimbursement.
