C.S.S.B. 661 adds a municipal or county health department, a hospital district, certain judges, a special needs offender's attorney, and an attorney representing the state to the list of entities or individuals who are authorized to receive information regarding such inmates. RULEMAKING AUTHORITY This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency. SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS SECTION 1. Amends Section 614.017(c)(1), Health and Safety Code, to redefine "agency." SECTION 2. Effective date: upon passage or September 1, 2001. SUMMARY OF COMMITTEE CHANGES SECTION 1.
