DIGEST AND PURPOSE 

As proposed, S.B. 945 amends Section 2113.107(f) to allow the printing of a
brochure for the federal special supplemental food program for women,
infants, and children (WIC) for the purpose of promoting, conducting
outreach, and educating WIC recipients.   

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a
state officer, institution, or agency. 

SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS

SECTION 1.  Amends Section 2113.107 (f), Government Code, to add language
to provide that Subsection (e) does not apply to the publication of a
brochure regarding approved foods under the federal special supplemental
food program for women, infants, and children administered by the Texas
Department of Health. 

SECTION 2.  Effective date: upon passage or September 1, 2001.
