DIGEST AND PURPOSE

Currently, many coastal subdivision restrictions are antiquated and need to
be updated to include adequate provisions for maintenance fees and certain
assessments. As proposed, S.B. 1677 decreases the population requirement
of a county to allow residents of a larger number of counties to amend the
subdivision restrictions.

RULEMAKING AUTHORITY

This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a
state officer, institution, or agency.
