DIGEST AND PURPOSE

The Act creating the Beeville Water Supply District limits the district's
boundaries to the city of Beeville's boundaries as of January 1, 1979.
S.B. 1758 removes the January 1, 1979, qualification and allows the
district to add more territory without following certain annexation
procedures in the Act if the city of Beeville has annexed the territory.

This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a
state officer, institution, or agency.
