                                A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 1-1                                   AN ACT
 1-2     relating to certain disciplinary procedures regarding auctioneers.
 1-3           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-4           SECTION 1. Sections 1802.253 and 1802.254, Occupations Code,
 1-5     are repealed.
 1-6           SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately.
 1-7           SECTION 3. The change in the law made by this Act applies
 1-8     only to a disciplinary action against an auctioneer that is
 1-9     commenced on or after the effective date of this Act.  A
1-10     disciplinary action against an auctioneer that is commenced before
1-11     the effective date of this Act is governed by the law in effect
1-12     immediately before the effective date of this Act, and the former
1-13     law is continued in effect for that purpose.  For the purposes of
1-14     this section, a disciplinary action is commenced if it has been set
1-15     for hearing.
