                                A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 1-1                                   AN ACT
 1-2     relating to membership of the Parks and Wildlife Commission.
 1-3           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-4           SECTION 1. Section 11.012, Parks and Wildlife Code, is
 1-5     amended by adding Subsection (d) to read as follows:
 1-6           (d)  One commission member must reside in the coastal area as
 1-7     defined by Section 33.004, Natural Resources Code.
 1-8           SECTION 2. This Act takes effect February 1, 2003.  If no
 1-9     person meeting the requirement established by Section 11.012(d),
1-10     Parks and Wildlife Code, as added by this Act, is serving on the
1-11     Parks and Wildlife Commission on February 1, 2003, the governor
1-12     shall appoint a person meeting the requirement established by
1-13     Section 11.012(d), Parks and Wildlife Code, as added by this Act,
1-14     for a term beginning February 1, 2003.
