                                A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 1-1                                   AN ACT
 1-2     relating to requiring certain pharmacies to post an Internet link
 1-3     to the Texas State Board of Pharmacy Internet site.
 1-4           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-5           SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 562, Occupations Code, is
 1-6     amended by adding Section 562.1045 to read as follows:
 1-7           Sec. 562.1045.  LINKING INTERNET SITES.  A pharmacy that
 1-8     maintains a generally accessible Internet site shall link its site
 1-9     to the Internet site maintained by the board.  The link must be:
1-10                 (1)  on the pharmacy's initial home page; and
1-11                 (2)  if the pharmacy sells drugs through its site, on
1-12     the page where the sale occurs.
1-13           SECTION 2. This Act takes effect November 1, 2001.
