                                A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 1-1                                   AN ACT
 1-2     relating to a border corridor transportation plan.
 1-3           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-4           SECTION 1.  Subchapter H, Chapter 201, Transportation Code,
 1-5     is amended by adding Section 201.6011 to read as follows:
 1-6           Sec. 201.6011.  BORDER CORRIDOR PLAN.  The department shall
 1-7     implement an integrated border corridor plan.  The plan must
 1-8     include strategies and projects to aid the exchange of commerce
 1-9     related to the North American Free Trade Agreement through the use
1-10     of multiple transportation modes.
1-11           SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2001.
