                                A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 1-1                                   AN ACT
 1-2     relating to the performance on certain assessment instruments of
 1-3     students who attend public magnet school campuses.
 1-4           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-5           SECTION 1. Section 39.073, Education Code, is amended by
 1-6     adding Subsection (f) to read as follows:
 1-7           (f)  For purposes of determining campus performance on the
 1-8     indicator under Section 39.051(b)(1), the results of the assessment
 1-9     instrument administered to a student who attends a magnet school
1-10     campus shall be included with the results of the assessment
1-11     instruments administered to:
1-12                 (1)  students at the magnet school campus; and
1-13                 (2)  students at the campus to which the magnet school
1-14     student would regularly be assigned.
1-15           SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2001.
