Section 36.06(c), Penal Code, is amended to read 1-12 as follows: 1-13 (c) An offense under this section is a felony of the third 1-14 degree unless the victim of the offense was harmed or threatened 1-15 because of the victim's service or status as a juror, in which 1-16 event the offense is a felony of the second degree. 1-17 SECTION 2. (a) The change in law made by this Act applies 1-18 only to an offense committed on or after the effective date of this 1-19 Act. For purposes of this section, an offense is committed before 1-20 the effective date of this Act if any element of the offense occurs 1-21 before the effective date. 1-22 (b) An offense committed before the effective date of this 1-23 Act is covered by the law in effect when the offense was committed, 1-24 and the former law is continued in effect for that purpose. 1-25 SECTION 3.
