                                A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 1-1                                   AN ACT
 1-2     relating to records retention requirements for certain
 1-3     manufacturers and distributors of alcoholic beverages.
 1-4           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-5           SECTION 1.  Section 62.05(b), Alcoholic Beverage Code, is
 1-6     amended to read as follows:
 1-7           (b)  All required records shall be kept available for
 1-8     inspection by the commission or its authorized representative
 1-9     during reasonable office hours for at least four [two] years.
1-10           SECTION 2.  Section 64.04(b), Alcoholic Beverage Code, is
1-11     amended to read as follows:
1-12           (b)  All required records shall be kept available for
1-13     inspection by the commission or its authorized representative
1-14     during reasonable office hours for at least four [two] years.
1-15           SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2001.
