1-1 AN ACT
1-2 relating to the names of certain entities within The University of
1-3 Texas System.
1-4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-5 SECTION 1. Section 65.02(a), Education Code, is amended to
1-6 read as follows:
1-7 (a) The University of Texas System is composed of the
1-8 following institutions and entities:
1-9 (1) The University of Texas at Arlington, including:
1-10 (A) The University of Texas Institute of Urban
1-11 Studies at Arlington; and
1-12 (B) The University of Texas School of Nursing at
1-13 Arlington;
1-14 (2) The University of Texas at Austin, including:
1-15 (A) The University of Texas Marine Science
1-16 Institute;
1-17 (B) The University of Texas McDonald Observatory
1-18 at Mount Locke; and

1-20 Austin;

4-7 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2001.
