                                A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 1-1                                   AN ACT
 1-2     relating to the fee charged by the Texas Department of
 1-3     Transportation for the Texas Airport Directory.
 1-4           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-5           SECTION 1.  Section 21.067, Transportation Code, is amended
 1-6     to read as follows:
 1-7           Sec. 21.067.  TEXAS AIRPORT DIRECTORY.  (a)  The department
 1-8     may:
 1-9                 (1)  issue the Texas Airport Directory;
1-10                 (2)  sell advertising in the directory; and
1-11                 (3)  advertise [the sale of] the directory in other
1-12     publications.
1-13           (b)  The department shall provide [charge not less than $5
1-14     for] the Texas Airport Directory free of charge to the public.
1-15           SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2001.
