                                A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 1-1                                   AN ACT
 1-2     relating to the number of justices for the Thirteenth Court of
 1-3     Appeals District.
 1-4           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-5           SECTION 1.  Section 22.216(m), Government Code, is amended to
 1-6     read as follows:
 1-7           (m)  The Court of Appeals for the Thirteenth Court of Appeals
 1-8     District consists of a chief justice and six [five] justices.
 1-9           SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2001.
