No. 2077 77R4656 MCK-D A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1-1 AN ACT 1-2 relating to the authority of a child support master to hear certain 1-3 cases. 1-4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 1-5 SECTION 1. Section 201.102, Family Code, is amended by adding 1-6 Subsection (c) to read as follows: 1-7 (c) The provisions of Section 201.005 relating to procedures 1-8 for objection to an associate judge hearing a trial on the merits 1-9 or presiding at a jury trial do not apply to a child support master 1-10 appointed under this subchapter. 1-11 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2001, and 1-12 applies only to a case referred to a child support master under 1-13 Subchapter B, Chapter 201, Family Code, on or after that date.
