1-1                                   AN ACT
 1-2     relating to the funding of child-care subsidies by the Texas
 1-3     Workforce Commission.
 1-4           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-5           SECTION 1. Section 302.062, Labor Code, is amended by adding
 1-6     Subsection (h) to read as follows:
 1-7           (h)  The commission shall fund child-care subsidies for
 1-8     children from households having income of not more than 66 percent
 1-9     of the state median income.
1-10           SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2001.
