 1-6                            A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 1-7                                   AN ACT
 1-8     relating to the amount of the fees established by the Texas State
 1-9     Board of Medical Examiners.
1-10           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-11           SECTION 1. Section 153.051(b), Occupations Code, is amended
1-12     to read as follows:
1-13           (b)  The board may not adjust a fee established on or before
1-14     August 31, 2001 [September 1, 1993], to an amount less than the
1-15     amount of the fee on August 31, 2001 [September 1, 1993].
1-16           SECTION 2. Section 4(d), Chapter 645, Acts of the 76th
1-17     Legislature, Regular Session, 1999, is repealed.
1-18           SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
1-19     a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
1-20     provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this
1-21     Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
1-22     Act takes effect September 1, 2001.
