                                A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 1-1                                   AN ACT
 1-2     relating to the requirement that certain facilities that sell motor
 1-3     vehicle fuel provide air and water for motor vehicles; providing a
 1-4     criminal penalty.
 1-5           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-6           SECTION 1. Chapter 4, Title 132, Revised Statutes, is amended
 1-7     by adding Article 8615 to read as follows:
 1-8           Art. 8615.  PROVISION OF AIR AND WATER BY PERSONS SELLING
 1-9     MOTOR VEHICLE FUEL. (a)  A person that operates a facility that
1-10     offers motor vehicle fuel for sale to the public from the facility
1-11     shall provide, at no charge, air and water for motor vehicles.
1-12           (b)  A person who violates Subsection (a) of this article
1-13     commits an offense.  An offense under this section is a Class C
1-14     misdemeanor.
1-15           SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2001.
