1-6 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
1-7 AN ACT
1-8 relating to the jurisdiction of the Probate Court No. 1 of Travis
1-9 County.
1-10 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1-11 SECTION 1. Section 25.2293(b), Government Code, is amended to
1-12 read as follows:
1-13 (b) A statutory probate court has the [general] jurisdiction
1-14 provided by law for a [, concurrent with the jurisdiction of the]
1-15 county court[,] to hear and determine all actions, cases, matters,
1-16 or proceedings instituted under:
1-17 (1) Section 166.046, 192.027, 193.007, 552.015,
1-18 552.019, 711.004, or 714.003, Health and Safety Code;
1-19 (2) Chapter 462, Health and Safety Code; or
1-20 (3) Subtitle C or D, Title 7, Health and Safety Code.
1-21 SECTION 2. Section 25.2293(d), Government Code, is repealed.
1-22 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2001.
