                                A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 1-1                                   AN ACT
 1-2     relating to the posting of certain information on the Internet site
 1-3     of the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission.
 1-4           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-5           SECTION 1. Subchapter E, Chapter 5, Water Code, is amended by
 1-6     adding Section 5.1731 to read as follows:
 1-7           Sec. 5.1731.  POSTING OF CERTAIN INFORMATION ON INTERNET SITE
 1-8     REQUIRED. The commission shall post on the commission's Internet
 1-9     site:
1-10                 (1)  minutes of meetings of advisory committees, work
1-11     groups, and task forces;
1-12                 (2)  pending permit and enforcement actions in a format
1-13     that is searchable by county and by facility name;
1-14                 (3)  information regarding public complaints about and
1-15     the compliance history of each facility regulated by the
1-16     commission;
1-17                 (4)  any information on emissions that the commission
1-18     is reasonably able to post on the site, including toxic release
1-19     inventory and emissions inventory; and
1-20                 (5)  information regarding municipal solid waste
1-21     storage.
1-22           SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2001.
