1-1                                   AN ACT
 1-2     relating to the statute of limitations for persons seeking damages
 1-3     from injury or loss caused by an error in a survey.
 1-4           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-5           SECTION 1. Section 16.011, Civil Practice and Remedies Code,
 1-6     is amended by adding Subsection (c) to read as follows:
 1-7           (c)  This section is a statute of repose and is independent
 1-8     of any other limitations period.
 1-9           SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2001.
