                                A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 1-1                                   AN ACT
 1-2     relating to the composition of the courts of appeals.
 1-3           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-4           SECTION 1.  Sections 22.201, 22.202, 22.2021, 22.203,
 1-5     22.2031, 22.204, 22.205, 22.2051, 22.206, 22.2061, 22.207, 22.208,
 1-6     22.209, 22.210, 22.211, 22.212, 22.213, 22.214, 22.215, and 22.216,
 1-7     Government Code, are repealed.
 1-8           SECTION 2.  Subchapter C, Chapter 22, Government Code, is
 1-9     amended by adding Section 22.2011 to read as follows:
1-10           Sec. 22.2011.  COURTS OF APPEALS DISTRICTS.  (a)  The state
1-11     is divided into two courts of appeals districts with a court of
1-12     appeals in each district.
1-13           (b)  The 1-A Court of Appeals District is composed of the
1-14     counties of Anderson, Andrews, Angelina, Archer, Armstrong, Bailey,
1-15     Bastrop, Baylor, Bell, Blanco, Borden, Bosque, Bowie, Brazos,
1-16     Briscoe, Brown, Burleson, Burnet, Callahan, Camp, Carson, Cass,
1-17     Castro, Cherokee, Childress, Clay, Cochran, Coke, Coleman, Collin,
1-18     Collingsworth, Comal, Comanche, Concho, Cooke, Coryell, Cottle,
1-19     Crane, Crosby, Dallam, Dallas, Dawson, Deaf Smith, Delta, Denton,
1-20     Dickens, Donley, Eastland, Ector, Ellis, Erath, Falls, Fannin,

2-15           (c)  The 2-A Court of Appeals District is composed of the

2-18     Colorado, Crockett, Culberson, De Witt, Dimmit, Duval, Edwards, El
2-19     Paso, Fayette, Fort Bend, Frio, Galveston, Gillespie, Goliad,
2-20     Gonzales, Guadalupe, Harris, Hidalgo, Hudspeth, Jackson, Jeff
2-21     Davis, Jefferson, Jim Hogg, Jim Wells, Karnes, Kendall, Kenedy,
2-22     Kerr, Kimble, Kinney, Kleberg, La Salle, Lavaca, Live Oak,
2-23     McMullen, Matagorda, Maverick, Medina, Nueces, Orange, Pecos,
