                                A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 1-1                                   AN ACT
 1-2     relating to the creation and composition of certain district
 1-3     courts.
 1-4           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-5           SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 24, Government Code, is
 1-6     amended by adding Sections 24.556 through 24.557 to read as
 1-7     follows:
 1-8           Sec. 24.556.  410TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT (HIDALGO COUNTY). (a)
 1-9     The 410th Judicial District is composed of Hidalgo County.
1-10           (b)  The 410th District Court shall give preference to cases
1-11     and proceedings under Title 3, Family Code.
1-12           Sec. 24.557.  412TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT (COLLIN COUNTY). The
1-13     410th Judicial District is composed of Collin County.
1-14           SECTION 2.  The district courts established in Section 1 of
1-15     this act are created and this Act takes effect September 1, 2001.
