                                A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 1-1                                   AN ACT
 1-2     relating to mileage reimbursement for the justices of the
 1-3     Thirteenth Court of Appeals District.
 1-4           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-5           SECTION 1. Section 22.214, Government Code, is amended by
 1-6     adding Subsection (d) to read as follows:
 1-7           (d)  In addition to all other compensation paid to a justice
 1-8     of the court, a justice is entitled to reimbursement for mileage
 1-9     traveled in performing official duties at the rate provided in the
1-10     General Appropriations Act for mileage traveled by state employees.
1-11     Each county in the district shall pay an equal share of the
1-12     reimbursement under this subsection from the county treasury.
1-13           SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2001.
