                                A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 1-1                                   AN ACT
 1-2     relating to the inspection of motor carriers before they leave a
 1-3     port of entry onto the public roads in a county greater than three
 1-4     million.
 1-5           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-6           SECTION 1. Section 644.051, Transportation Code is amended by
 1-7     adding Subsection (3) to read as follows:
 1-8                 (3)  The director is authorized to adopt rules to
 1-9     provide for the inspection of motor carriers in a port located in a
1-10     county of 3 million or more.
