                                A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 1-1                                   AN ACT
 1-2     relating to the establishment of visitation centers and visitation
 1-3     exchange facilities in certain counties.
 1-4           BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 1-5           SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 153, Family Code, is amended
 1-6     by adding Section 153.014 to read as follows:
 1-7           Sec. 153.014.  VISITATION CENTERS AND VISITATION EXCHANGE
 1-8     FACILITIES.  A county may establish a visitation center or a
 1-9     visitation exchange facility for the purpose of facilitating the
1-10     terms of a court order providing for the possession of or access to
1-11     a child.
1-12           SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives a
1-13     vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
1-14     provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this
1-15     Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
1-16     Act takes effect September 1, 2001.
